We have a sister company that provides this service and the one criteria that we insist on when hiring is a complete and in depth knowledge of the tax system and the obligations placed on employers.
Payroll is becoming more popular as an outsourced service, due to costs in house. However, remember that most payrolls are run at month end which leads to a glut of work at that time. You must plan your working practice to allow for this or you will disappoint customers.
Discover exactly what services are required by the client. Very often they do not have a clue what is involved, we itemise each item of service separately in order that they can select those which are applicable to their business.
Have a detailed contract with your clients. You are going to be blamed for everything that goes wrong, especially if it is not your fault, so cover your back at all times. In the same vein, choose your clients carefully any explain your conditions of service carefully. Remember if the client is doing something illegal within the workforce, cash in hand, illegals etc and an investigation occurs, you will have to prove that you had no knowledge or part of the illegality. Investigations can be very time consuming and therefore you should make your charges for this unusual type of work very clear from the outset.

basically, BPO, is used by some company’s, to outsource some of their jobs elsewhere at a lesser wage and probably no benefits.

My father, a network engineer, is part-owner of a corporation, whose sole business right now is to provide manpower (i.e., himself) to a large company’s computer network. In other words, the company pays his corporation a lot of money per hour, which pays him a little bit, using the rest to pay expenses pre-tax. This is good for tax savings, but we also want to be able to make more money than one person’s hourly rate. I suggested networking between people I know looking for work, and local small businesses who might be looking for manpower for a short-term project, or just can’t find good employees. I figure people I refer will do a better job, knowing they are helping my family business. My dad says the additional insurance, etc. would make it unprofitable to pay an acceptable wage and still collect a reasonable rate. However, he hasn’t actually researched it in depth, so I think it might be possible to find a way. Am I just being naive, or can we accomplish something here?

I’m in a wonderful business call Fortune Hi Tech Marketing. The ONLY difficulty with Fortune Hi Tech Marketing is……….. it is a network marketing company. People ARE ABLE to get over that by addressing it head on, rather than ignoring it.
Everything is bought and sold. Everything. Every product, every service. And we all network everyday of our lives. For example: Wachovia is my bank. They now are offering me and a friend $ 25 each if I will refer my friend to the bank and they open a new account. This is a customer acquisition program by Wachovia…. almost the same as advertising.
Ameritrade is doing the same thing by offering a $ 100 referral fee for new retirement accounts. Ameritrade is the big winner by getting control of a new block of money for many years. As consumers we do not seem to care if the institutions we do business with approach us with their attempts to get referrals from us. This process is network marketing. Are you offended?
Now, how about the services we all “habitually purchase” as part of all of our monthly budgets. Home phones, AAA for our cars, m ultiple cell phones, home security, high speed internet, online purchases at a discount from over 1,000 companies, Dish TV, identity theft protection, health products, beauty and toiletries, etc. EVERYBODY PURCHASES THESE. If you leave your c ell phone on the counter top in your house and you realize it as you are pulling out of your driveway…… what do we do? It is so much a part of our lives that we turn around and go get it, even if we are a mile down the road. That cell phone is so much a part of your life, that you would not consider going without it. You WILL PAY FOR THAT CELL PHONE MONTH after MONTH.
The Fortune business, is the only way I know that each of us can make money, perhaps even BIG money, on the purchases that each of us ARE GOING TO MAKE every month. I am not offended by the truth nor do I mind saving money or being compensated on my fixed, budgeted, monthly purchases. That is all Fortune is. No more, no less.
Almost everybody has less NET WORTH AND NET INCOME than they had 2 years ago. Fortune, uses your personal consumption of essential products and services to build a NETWORK OF CO NSUMERS JUST LIKE YOU AND ME.
So, what about you? Do you want your committed monthly expenditures to pay you or not? Will you join me in building a network of consumers just like you and me? I just got started with Fortune. But, I have had some success. I will be promoted to Regional Sales Mgr.this week. Some people join me. Some do not. Some accept the truth, others do not want to deal with it, or are offended by the thoughts of networking. There are lots of things in our professions that we have to DEAL WITH. What do you have to do to be successful in your career? I am sure you have to pay the prices necessary in order to be successful. Get up and go achieve for many hours, many years.

A LPO can be started on a very small scale at your home also.
It is well recomended to develop intial contacts through resources like internet and friends.
An marketing strategy should be developed to target the customers.
Initially focus on a particular field like trademarks, copyright or patents.
Not necessary you should be able to do all of the given work but get it done through some one else professionally since it will increase your repute of completing the target.
Accepting all the assigmnets given and getting the done will generate turn-over but not income. Since turn-over will only give you the repute for your future development rather than considering the initial gains.
as the turn over will increase the repute will also increase and the you will get the calls automatically.
It really needs a patience of 3-4 years.
Anothe strategy for faster growth of this business is to employ a marketing person for it who can roam arround and fetch some projects but it again depends on you funds that you are putting in.
But I wonder what else do you have in your mind about the same.
